D.K. Akowuah Memorial Foundation

Together with 5 villagers, Mr Boadi set up a foundation in April 2019 - the D.K. Akowuah Memorial Foundation.

The aim was to establish a public school where children from low-income families could also attend and receive a good education. Her experiences with the public schools in the area were decisive in her decision. There, the children are often left to their own devices. Most of the teachers are not really committed to teaching the children and making a difference. Many of the children can only read and write very poorly and will never have the opportunity to achieve a higher level of education.

Parental work is also an important component. Parents should be made aware of how important a good education is and that they all contribute to ensuring that their children are the cornerstone of future society.

The founding members are role models for the community and are admired and supported by many parents.
